Hi Folks !

Well finally got my PC sorted my hard drive decided to give up the ghost this time so after replacing it my system works just fine excpet one thing ... i cannot get EQ to work i have loaded up all my discs like scars of velious planes of power etc but when i start the game to begin the digital downloads for the non cd parts of the game i get a message saying `checking for updated files....please check your internet connection and try again ... Error parsing XML file

The game loads up fine until it need to locate the patch server then it says that .. never had it before i have no connection problems so was wondering if anyone can shed any light as to how to cure this ? i have tried turning off firewalls anti virus etc but no difference.

Dremagic is helping but so far nothing has helped, without this cured i cannot download the game and obviously wont be playing ...if i can get this sorted i will be back online and with you good folks again !

Hey Rumbly... I had the same thing for a while too. Check out the links that kalann offered you. luckily for me, just cancelling the update check and then restarting EQ worked for me (after about 10 tries)
