PvE game. And it's a bit group oriented even though solo content also exist of course. Square Enix have always been good hiding info about their games during beta.

Don't think so, the beta registration was closed 16th of August. The game will be released 22th (collectors edition) and 30th (standard edition) of September.

I'm in open beta right now, and quite frankly I'm not even the slightest impressed by the game so far. Sure it's very pretty, but the game play is horrid. Lets not start talking about the UI, what the hell were they thinking? Just getting to a journal is like 4 mouse clicks through a very lagging menu system. I know it's beta, but I doubt these are things that will be easily fixed before release.

Mobs AI (at least in beta) are quite stupid, not good enough for a next generation game. I have to say the story is good, and so is the cut scenes, really like a final fantasy game. But at this stage I'm not going to spend my money on this title just yet. I will have to see in which direction it's heading post launch.

Now keeping my eyes on TERA, at least that fantasy title has some really promising battles, mob AI seem to be very cool.

Tera sure looks interesting and gives us time to get new pc's, doubt our old ones are able to run this game smoothly

Rifts and PvP, sounds a lot like AION. And also the reason why I quit AION, forced pvp and I hate pvp.

Have you read about guild wars 2 ?
Sound to me like they are also focusing alot on pve. And their ideas seem not revolutionary but new and interesting.
Problem is it's ncsoft who is behind it and their history is full of pvp games for the eastern crowd.

I am so torn, because they lured me into Aion which is really the worst mmo I ever tried - All bling-bling and pvp, spiced with a wow-ification.

Hope you Illumanaughties are all well and special grats to Calizor on your new spawns.

I am watching a live feed from FFXIV right now.
Have to say I am intrigued by the concepts, alot more like eq than any newer mmo's.
It is definately not a hand holding game.
What is hard to determine if this is an actual full blown mmo ? and can it keep interest up for longer than a few months ?.

The eastern style is there and Im definately not into that but it doesnt look overwhelming.
Other thing .. PS3 - Console .. need I say more ?

But right now I think I will get it and try it .. if it doesnt appeal in the long run, atleast I can play it as an adventure game since they say the storeline is awesome.

Koras or anyone, are you in their world now ? if so what is your info ?

Cheers
