Timelocked Progression server in March

There will be a timelocked progression server starting March (official).
Ruleset/Features not decided yet, but guesses go that it will mostly be newest client and features, hopefully except bad spoilers like mercs .. no info yet.

Anyone thinking about going there?.

Personally I installed Cataclysm in wow, and after 2 hours I was utterly bored - the handholding .. must ... break ... free.
So unless there is some game spoilers that slip in, I will be on the progression server in March.
Not expecting it to be the same or relive the eq experience, just need a mmo I can have fun with.

Jaquia is back playing WoW again on the server outland with me. Even if it would be awesome to reunite with you guys I'm not sure I can stand the look of EQ to play it again. But I will consider it for old times sake.

I know what you mean Koras, it is old and the UI really bugs me after playing wow.
However I am so bored with wow and what games will be released in the comming year that I will take Eq and enjoy it for what it is.
I guess much depends on who you meet and how the community is - Funny enough I hope there will be lotsa newbies and not so many me ^^.
I have posted a good deal on massively and mmorpg about it lately, but SOE is silent as always, and a newbie would have a hard time even figuring out how to get started.

I will post my name here when I have one, will not decide until I am at the creation screen.
Going for a druid and/or a monk to get started, then maybe pick a real main when Kunark comes - Ikky sexxyness ftw... and then on the other hand I might change my mind several times before tomorrow hehe. Cya Russball (and anyone else comming?) and post your name here please... oh btw forgot what hours do you play ? gmt+1 evenings mostly for me.

Giving it a whirl. Thinking of trying something I want to play rather than min / maxing my 2 accounts; for instance assuming monk/shaman would be wicked awesome, but same combo as I play on current server is kind of lame :p

Thinking of going SK / wizzie, SK / cleric or possibly cleric / wizzie. Tough decisions are tough :p

Might even consider trying 3boxing with my 3rd and inactive account, we shall see :p

I'll post name / classes when I actually have them all down. Can't promise 100% commitment here, but gonna give it a serious attempt to see how it is at least ! See you all on the other side,
