what are the requierements to play EQ2?

EQ2 is a real RAM sucker (just like EQ1) so i'd say 1024mb RAM if you want it to run lil smoother . I can say the "stats" on my brothers comp that im using atm whenever I can .

It runs pretty ok actully, I play on a american (i think) server so not that many online during the day (phew) so thats pretty nice, runs smoothly etc, on the night tho its almost unplayable inside the high crowded cities cuz of all the people etc . It lags less than EQ1 tho .

Athal, read the review, they explain in details why there is no computer powerful enough atm to show alll the details, framerates and animations EQ2 can propose, but it was programmed to evolve with the technology in order to avoid to have a fucked up gfx poor game (/points EQ) in 5 years, and with the time you ll be able to see more and more visual upgrades.

I just bought an alienware system and have a 1.5 meg BB connection, I have settings on medium, with environmental shadows off and i still lag a bit so I would say go with whatever works cos as Kalte says, whatever you buy wont be good enough

guys I'm having serious issues with my computer Video card when I play EQ2.
I'm using

Athlon 1800
ATI 8500 LE
512 Mo DDRAM

I'm planning to upgrade my DDRAM to 1Go but I will have to switch my video card... It doesnt' support the game If I read well the technical support forum

What video card I can buy to be sure of having a smooth game?

Achete une carte video ATI 9600 XT 128 mégas ram, c'est le meilleur compromis performance/prix actuellement. Pour la ram, 1 méga est indispensable pour éviter le lag, même pour EQ1.

A part ca, tu nous abandonne aussi , slacker

Nvidia is sponsor of both eq2 and Wow.

I am using a 3 GHz AMD processor with 1Gig of ram and an ATI9800 pro graphics card and the game is running smooth and fast.

Ok I know I haven’t got all the options running (it still all set at the defaults) but the game still look amazing.

It looks like you don’t have to go Top end to play this game as my system is anything but high end any more and could probably sort out a very nice runner cheep with parts of Ebay and others.
