I have vote no

I live in the U.S so there's a 6 hour time diffrence. It's very hard for me to get a party. By moving to a server with less people that increases the problem during the weekdays.

Also I picked my crafts based on the demand on this server. Moving is risky from a market stand point. As an example if there were X10 more woodworkers... Well you get the idea.

Well, I can understand the time zone problem, but the crafter's problem will be less I think. Splitpaw will be populated mostly by people from here... So basically same "market". :)

so hard to just switch the table huh? We euros have been playing on US servers for several years (5 or 6 in my case), you think there are no Euro nighttime players? How do you think we got by on a US server? :)
Ain't that bad really, there are always people online.

I agree with Kelvine, this move wont be a problem, not even for the few US players we do have.

I agree with Koras and Saul, we have been on U.S. server for many years now and there are plenty of people playing around the clock. Not only that but I think there will be plenty of people joining the server from the US time zones for the very reason we thought about joining a U.S. server in the first place. No one likes the lag and crowdedness so we will have people all around the world eventually on our server.

Knight, if you are concerned about the market, I think it would be an even better move for you as a woodworker to go to the new server. Like Saul said, most of the people going there is from our current server. The level 50 woodworkers will have established themselves and will not want to move, with splitpaw being a "newer" server, if you have the skills built up like you do, the market will be yours for the taking, just look at how well Gadak and Julez have done on our server, just think if they are the only ones able to do what they do on the new one...damn rich!! Yes there will be others that have this same theory, but not ALL of them will come over, so the market will be less saturated with higher level items...for a while at least.

Overall, I think that the server move would be good for us, but there are some that don't want to move like Omo. And to me, that makes me sad. That is why I am with you all here, for the companionship I've had the past 4 years on illu and I don't want to leave anyone behind. But everyone has their reasons to stay or go, and I respect that, they are the ones paying the sony bill not me. I will go where the majority goes, but I hope for the most part we can stay and grow as the family I have grown to love.

Peace,
Sean

Those who have chosen to vote no I can see your views and respect them... yes now here comes the but..

But, all the same new server does mean new opportunity and chance for us to make a foothold for our family. Knightstorm when your online playing how many illu are online playing also? Others have stated better then I the possibilties with the market on a new server already. Besides all that I and many others will be sad to see part of our own left behind.

Omoshi, Julez, Kightstorm I can only hope you and others who choose to stay will change your mind and step into the new server with the rest of us. I will personally miss any who remain behind as will we all.

PLEASE COME WITH US!!!!

I know exactly where you’re coming from Kelvine. I pretty much endured the same thing before. Prior to EQ I played FFXI (Final Fantasy On-line) I played this game for a very long time. It was released a year before in Japan. A year later Americans like my self could play. However I work 2nd shift and that was on JAPAN prime time.

The problem was in FFXI for the most part Japan players did not want to play with Americans players. It was not a racial issue but rather a communication issue. Six players are required for a party and Skill chain’s (Kinda like Ho’s) pulling, and other information needed to be clear. Because of the barrier I tried putting a party together at level 56 (max level is 75) for three and half months 3-5 hours daily on weekdays, and more so on weekends. After waiting that long I realized the truth. Advancing at this point was not an option.

I joined runnyeye because a in real life friend switched to EQII. So naturally I joined the same one. He quit shortly after and returned to FFXI. We both didn’t realize the server was intended for Europe by then I was too far in to quit and move to another server. Also it costs $50 per character. The reason I play EQII is for cheap entertainment and really can’t afford that right now with supporting me and my fiancée. I do realize this move is free to the new server.

On EQ each weekday I play from 12:30am – 5am EST. I’m LFG and no body is really on. However there are rare occasions that a party does happen (bi weekly bases it seems).

I’m very nervous about the move. I can’t relive what I did in FFXI again. I worked very hard to get where I was to only be cut short near the end. I know reaching the end is possible on Runny Eye. May not be the fastest way but I can get there.

The other server is for Europe with less people. As some of you spoke about the market, I think your right. The marketing opportunities would most likely be better there. Those are some very good points I never thought about.

I’m tore on what to do. I don’t want to relive those painful days of FFXI. But in the short time with Illumanati It would be a shame to say goodbye. Especially to Hrothgarr, Gadak and Anderial.

I like you guys I really do. I have to say in all the games I’ve tried that had guilds/link shells you are the best bunch of chaps I’ve ever met in the gaming world. Just the comedy and drama alone in /gsay is so funny.

I need more time with this. In one hand I feel I can’t endure those lfg times again. In the other hand you all made EQII what it is for me and that is fun. With out the company of you all I don’t think I could make it in EQ either.

I’ll update you in game. Need to think about it more.

12:30AM --->00:30
05:00AM --->05:00

I'm kinda guessing the time between 02:00 and 05:00 could be a problem.
There are always players online, but I can emagine it would be pretty hard to get a decent group at those times.

I can't tell you what to do, I realize it's a hard move to make.
I'll support you in any way possible Knightstorm.[/b]

I understand your point of view.

think about it and do not forget : it's a game => do what you think it's the best for your entertainment :)

It's now decided that we will move to Splitpaw. All we wait for now is date from SoE when guildmoves will take place. I will inform you all through the message board and guild motd when to do a /movelog add. But DON'T do it yet since that would remove your guildtag and the guild would loose any status points you have gathered if you are a patron of the guild.

But as I said, I will get back with information as soon as I know.

Stay tuned :)

All packed and ready to move :P
Actually, I'm not sure I am. Will they move our houses as well, or do I have to pack it? lol

Knightstorm, Julez, Omoshi and anyone else who doesn't want to move, please reconcider. I can understand your arguments to stay, but Illumanati is now your family, and we will not stop nagging at you to come with us until you do

Here is some information regarding the move.

If someone already have your charname on the new server x will be added to your name, for example Korasx, you can petition for a name change.

The house and all it's furniture etc will follow your char to the new server, no need to pack it.

The shared bank slots will follow your movelog charachter. Good to know too is if you have a charachter on the new server already with stuff in the shared slots the new items will just overflow, kinda like the inventory when it's full. There is one quirk with this though, you will have to move the stuff in the shared slot and relog for the overflowing items to fill the shared slots.

Guild status points earned as a patron will follow as long as the movelog is done when they announce guild moves, do it before and that status is lost. If a patron decide to stay behind when guild move take place those points will be lost from our guild exp, which mean we could backding.

Members that decide not to movelog will be automaticly deguilded when the move take place.

Well I think that should cover most of the questions.

uhmn... well my view of it..

why i want to stay:
1. patchtimes actually fits well for me.
2. have a bunch of friends that i really like.
3. Im a bit worried about higher level crafter population.

why i want to come with ya:
1. well I like you guys :)
2. im euro.

A big issue is actually crafting, its even hard for me on runny to
get the resources/tempers and so on that i need.. (t5) and.. well i guess both runny and split will be worse cause of the split and I dont really know what other crafters will do..

But I leaning towards following you guys.. crafting is prob just a matter of time before others "grow up".. sucks to leave the other friends behind tho :/

About the crafting issue. I toally understand your view, but you say you are even having problems getting what you need on this server. The new server is going to be a mix between players from Runnyeye and Faydark. Maybe some high level artisans will move to Splitpaw from Faydark :)

Friends is a bit more difficult though. I'm sure we can get them a temp invite to the guild if they wish to move with you, but if they want to stay, it's not much we can do :(
